An exception is made for foreign students who obtained a bachelor's degree in the U.S. or other English-speaking country. A master’s degree does not qualify for an exception. A score of 550 (paper test), 213 (computer-based test), or 79 (internet-based test) on the TOEFL is considered the minimum acceptable for admission to The University of Texas at Austin.
