Degree_For applicants who have completed work beyond a bachelor's degree, records of both graduate and undergraduate work are taken into account. While most applicants for the graduate program have an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, it is not necessarily a requirement. Students admitted to our program with such backgrounds are normally required to complete several undergraduate mechanical engineering courses. The exact program is adapted to each applicant's previous training.
Admission may be offered to non-mechanical engineering BS degree holders on a case-by-case basis. Applications from civil engineering, aerospace engineering and engineering science/mechanics BS degree holders will be reviewed normally. If you are a physics, engineering physics, or electrical engineering degree holder, a conditional admission may be offered. Such an admission typically requires successful completion of 6-8 core undergraduate mechanical engineering courses in addition to the regular graduate degree requirements.
